Made During Quarantine

At the start of the covid pandemic, in the midst of New York City’s lockdown, I turned to my art studio. I found comfort in creating with paint, collage and working with type. Returning to old themes became newly relevant.

I revisited a question posed in a previous series, ‘What is love?’ This time the feeling is darker and more concerning, with references to distance, desire, doubt and desperation. In a world where we cannot touch, I returned to past memories of love.
