Summer Architecture Instensive, Parsons School of Design

Destination Sit is set on the Southern most end of Governors Island and face away from city views. It’s Southern exposure looks out over New York harbor. Sunlight fills the walls of the structure differently at different times of day. When the sun is high, the overhang of the volumes blocks the occupant from the strongeest, most direct sunlight Early monring, later afternoon and low Winter sun flow in below at the lower openings bathing the floor with soft, indirect light.
