This is Only a Test was a mini-retrospective of Rodney’s work from 2005-2009. The show was a gallery event, a music mash-up and an all -night party. The artist also gave a slide show presentation with curator Natalie Trainor who presented her analysis of his work complete with artistic comparions and historical references.  Trainor says “Like the Pop artists of the sixties, Durso’s art, reduces mass communications to raw material of purely artistic exploration and In doing so, his mixed media becomes the object of parody and satire”.
